Below is the feedback about our new Linear dimmable non-flickering driver from one of our customer:

(Read from bottom to top)

Hi Alex, sorry for the late reply , I’ve been away.
The new dimming performance is very good! No problems at all.
Can you create bulbs above 8 watts? I notice the SAA cert only goes up to 8w.
Otherwise we are very happy.

We are sending samples to you now, including a metal soft led bulbs, please show this bulb to Philip.
This is metal soft led filament bulb, 5W. Usual soft led bulb is only 3W max. Thank you!

Fedex tracking number is 807720761557.
We tested your 2 dimmers and 3 bulbs, result as below:
1. Your 3 bulb sample work with your Blue color dimmer, do not work with your Purple color dimmer.
2. We took off your bulb and checked the driver, the driver is normal Resistor and Capacitor driver.

3. Our new Linear dimmable non-flickering driver works with your 2 dimmer much good!
Introduction of our new Linear dimmable non-flickering driver as below:
1>. Below 4W, there is 2 IC. More than 4W there is 3 IC. There is moss tube also.
2>. High voltage protection, over heat and current protection.
3>. Works with almost all the dimmers.

Our new Linear dimmable non-flickering driver has a higher cost than your sample’s driver.
Please find attached pictures showing your sample driver and our driver for details.

Shall we send some samples to you today? also shall we send these 2 dimmers back to you or we leave them at our factory? Thank you

It’s been a while since we had a good discussion, I hope you are well.

We want to discuss dimming performance and how we may be able to improve our globes.
The characteristics are not new to us, but they are primarily as follows.
1) Dimming range, for example, 100% to 0% brightness would be a perfect score.
2) Flicker, particularly in the lower setting
3) Consistent dimming over the range of adjustment, i.e., the bulb must dim in a linear fashion.

Our globes are often problematic in all three characteristics above. We have now seen other companies with better performance than we can offer.
In our testing, these other globes perform virtually with a perfect score in all three characteristics even on one bulb loading.

So obviously we need to improve. To help our situation, I am sending you two of the latest dimmers we have in Australia.
And at the same time I will send you some globes from other companies. (I’m sure you already know about them, but I will send anyway.)

I look forward to hearing your thoughts and suggestions and a way forward to improve our products for the long term.
